At Theraplay, we speak often about our family-orientation and having a servant mindset. Jeanine Morton is a dedicated, licensed therapist who is fully committed to the growth and accomplishments of the children and families she serves.
In her experience, when an individual or organization places service first, everything else falls into place as it should. This priority is especially true for pediatric therapy practices like Theraplay that serve the needs of special children. Jeanine knows that being “all in” for our children and their families is a must.
Her family-oriented approach includes the important role that parents play in the progress and accomplishments of their children. Founder of Theraplay, Jeanine Morton, published a book called Now You’re Talking: An Innovative Approach to Problem Solving for SLPs and Parents. It details specific strategies, tactics, and priorities that parents and their therapists can take into account in order to provide their kids with the best results possible. This approach serves as the operational blueprint Jeanine follows at Theraplay.

The final aspect of family and service extends to our communities in Lee County and beyond. Theraplay has been based in Sanford since 2008, and it has been our honor to be part of the city’s growth and evolution over the past decade. In 2016, Jeanine Morton was honored as the Sanford Area Growth Alliance’s Small Business Owner of the Year. Jeanine is also a Sanford Area Growth Alliance (SAGA) board member.
Community involvement at Theraplay includes bringing our message and our expertise to people and groups who can benefit from them. We welcome the opportunity to conduct seminars, workshops, and special programs for schools, parent organizations, service groups, churches, government agencies, practitioners, and social groups. Jeanine also has a passion for entrepreneurship and mentoring and is happy to share her message and expertise in those areas.
Anytime there is a possibility you think Theraplay can be of service to you, your child, or your organization, we hope you’ll call on us.
