About Theraplay

Theraplay PLLC is a Sanford, NC-based pediatric therapy practice, devoted to serving our children and families through customized processes and effective methods of treatment.  We specialize in speech & language therapy for pediatric children.

Since our formation in 2008, Theraplay has had the privilege of working with hundreds of children and their families, devising and implementing therapy plans to help unleash each child’s potential. I have a bright, engaging, nurturing facility in downtown Sanford, created specifically to give our kids the environment they need to flourish.

Theraplay is a family-oriented environment in every respect. I encourage parents to participate in the process. They work patiently and diligently with their kids, and make sure every step is explained and every success is celebrated.

Theraplay is also a family-oriented work environment. Our patients receive the best 1-1 attention, care, and patience they need to rehabilitate their speech and language skills successfully.

As an organization, I also work closely with and honor the contributions of the many teachers, practitioners, and government agency employees who value our skills and dedication and refer their special-needs children to our care.

Meet Jeanine Morton

Jeanine Morton

Owner & Speech Language Pathologist

Jeanine is a graduate of Hampton University and received her Master's degree from The George Washington University. Jeanine is experienced in working with children with autism, developmental delays, applied behavioral analysis, apraxia, behavioral & cognitive impairments, feeding disorders, and the use of PROMPT to treat apraxia. She has worked in various environments including public schools, daycare centers, autism classrooms and homes. Jeanine is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
