Jeanine Morton, M.A., CCC-SLP, Director

Jeanine is a graduate of Hampton University and received her Master's degree from The George Washington University.  Jeanine is experienced in working with children with autism, developmental delays, applied behavioral analysis, apraxia and the use of PROMPT to treat apraxia.  She has worked in various environments including public schools, daycare centers, autism classrooms and homes.  Jeanine is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is also a member of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She is the mother of a wonderful son who loves to read, spend time with her family and consult for Discovery Toys in her extra time. email her at: jeanine@theraplaync.com

 

Michelle Shellhammer, SLP-Assistant
Michelle graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in 2009.  She is experienced in working with children with articulation, language and fluency disorders as well as children with autism and Down Syndrome.  In her time off, she enjoys her two cats, gardening and spending time with her husband.  She is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners. email her at: michelle@theraplaync.com
Hanna Bowers, SLP-Assistant

Hanna grew up in Billings, Montana.  After high school, she moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend college.  She took classes at the University of Oregon and Chemeketa Community College where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting.  Fourteen years of dance lessons prepared her to teach classes in ballet, tap and hip-hop to children, ages 3-16 as a part-time job while in college. 
Hanna's SLP-A internship was with an early intervention program sponsored by the University of Oregon.  Hanna has always been drawn to kids and has a special interest in early intervention to help give kids a good start before entering school.  Since her move to North Carolina after college, Hanna has been enjoying meeting new friends, exploring all that North Carolina has to offer and especially enjoys the weather.  Hanna is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners.
